Statement of Beliefs
1. The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible (Old and New Testaments) is the verbally inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God, the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice.
2. The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are distinct, yet of one essence and co-eternal.
3. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) Christ was born of a virgin, is fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will reign forever.
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a Person, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who trust in Christ, indwells believers, seals them for the day of redemption, and empowers them for Christian living and service.
5. Human Condition & Need for Salvation
We believe that all humanity inherits a sinful nature, are under condemnation apart from God, and are unable to attain salvation by their own efforts.
6. Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe that salvation is entirely a work of God by grace, received through faith in the finished work of Christ—apart from works—and that those who are truly saved are eternally secure in Christ.
7. The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ made up of all true believers (universal church) and that local expressions (local congregations) exist to worship God, preach the Word, disciple believers, and serve the world.
8. Christian Life & Discipleship
We believe believers are called to live a life of holiness, obedience, and service, bearing fruit in good works, loving one another, and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations.
9. Eschatology — The Preterist Understanding
We believe in the doctrine known as Preterism: That all of the prophecies of Scripture, especially those relating to the destruction of the old covenant system and the establishment of Christ’s kingdom, were fulfilled in the first century (culminating in the events of AD 70). We believe that Christ's coming, the judgment, the resurrection of the dead, and the new heavens and new earth were inaugurated then, in fulfillment of Scripture.
This understanding gives urgency to the believer’s life now—not waiting passively for the future, but living as Christ’s victorious people today, under His reign.
10. The Hope of Believers
We believe that Christians have the blessed hope of being with the Lord eternally, that Christ reigns now and will reign forever, and that ultimately God’s purpose is fully realized in the new creation.
